In the Wake of the Wind CD

Now I was ready for a full-fledged concept album. I originally wanted it to be a pirate-themed record, but got resistance from the record company. (new age pirates?) So it turned into a different nautical adventure. I came up with some characters, and writer Terry Wood helped me shape it and give it some cohesion. My love of Tolkien’s work began to really surface here. This was my first experience working with Kostia, my life-long Russian musician friend, and also the first time using orchestral musicians. I still play a couple of the songs in concert, and this album also went to #1, and I was awarded my first Grammy nomination. Woo-hoo!
