Product Description
After waxing indigenous on SHAMAN and dabbling with vocals on FAERIES, Troika comes full circle with their latest offering, which parallels the enchanting instrumental aspects of their debut album GODDESS. KINGDOM OF THE SUN, produced by David Arkenstone, was inspired by the National Geographic children's book of the same name, which paired scientific fact with mythology to tell the stories behind the planets and their names. As such, this album is awash with otherworldly synths, guitars and dramatic percussion that echoes the vastness of space. Arkenstone's presence on the album is strongly felt, making these galactic fantasias noteworthy for fans of the multi-instrumentalist. In addition, the liner notes feature excerpts of the poetry from the book.
