As this was my first recording, I had a lot of attention on, and a lot of interest in all aspects of production, composition and performance. It took 4 times longer than I thought it would to record it. This was 1987, very soon after synthesizers and computers started talking to each other, so there was a lot of experimentation going on. This was also my first experience working with Eric Lindert and Dave Vartanian, who helped me so much in these first years. I tried to combine synths with organic sounds to create an interesting hybrid, which I think worked and I still use that technique today. Luckily, the recording was successful, and I was off and running!
